Supporting local Mississippi creators, artists, and storytellers is something that we have believed in since the very beginning.
We believe in the hard work and passion that our neighbors and friends pour into their work every single day. We believe in the dreams and stories that lead each craftsman and collector to do what they so lovingly do. And we believe in the powerful community and impact of small town makers.
This strong belief in our fellow local vendors has led us to the creation of a new, local event – The Cotton Gin Market.
On Friday, September 25th and Saturday the 26th, join us at the Gin at Rasberry Greene for a two day celebration of local artists, hand-crafters, antiquers, musicians, and more.
You’ll stroll among the towering pine trees while listening to the sweet sounds of Honeyboy & Boots; and Oh, Jeremiah along with Joel Hill & Sarah Patterson; JJ Benson & Luke Campbell, and Brad Moreland. The beautiful harmonies of each band filling the woods will make this an event you’ll never forget.
The stunning diversity of our vendors is what truly makes this the event not to miss. Hailing from every corner of the magnolia state, each one of these folks is more unique than the next. From up-cycled masterpieces and home-made delicacies, to quirky crocheted cacti, you’re sure to find items that will tickle your fancy.
To round out this extraordinary event, you can forever remember this day by getting a Tintype Portrait by Josh Windham. This antique form of photography is the process of making a film coating on a plate of aluminum. It’s truly a unique gift that can be passed down for generations.
There’s really so much that we love about this event that we couldn’t just fit it all into one day. That’s why Friday is dedicated to our Early Bird Preview day starting at 4:00 pm. For $5.00, you’ll be able to have first pick over all of our local vendor’s items with live music starting at 6:00 pm.
If you can’t make it on Friday, have no fear! Saturday, starting at 10:00 am, you can enjoy all our market will have to offer all day long for only $2.00. Food, live music, local vendors, out in the woods on a pleasant fall day, what more could you want out of your weekend?
The market will end around 8:00 pm on Friday and 6:00 pm on Saturday.
